Dimitris Karakousis is a Computer Engineer holding a Master’s Degree in Applied Information Systems and a second Master’s Degree in Digital Information Management from the Department of Archival Science, Library Science and Museology of the Ionian University. He has professional experience in the information technology sector and has been serving in secondary education since 1999 as an Information Technology teacher, with extensive teaching and administrative experience. Since 2022, he has held the position of Deputy Director at the 9th Gymnasium of Lamia. He has participated in educational and research projects, training programs and initiatives promoting pedagogical innovation. His master’s thesis on the Historic Centre of Thermopylae initiated his research interests in digital documentation and cultural heritage.
