Ilias Chrysostomidis was born in Thessaloniki in 1982. He studied Philology (2005) and Theology (2023) at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. At the same University he attended postgraduate studies (2008) and completed his doctoral thesis (2015). He taught at the Department of Philology of the University of Ioannina and at the AES Vella of Ioannina. His scientific interests focus on Greek and Latin paleography and Byzantine and Post Byzantine literary studies. I have worked paleographically at the Holy Monasteries of Dionysios and Iviron on Mount Athos, at the Holy Monastery of Zavorda and Saint John the Theologian of Patmos, at the Ecumenical Patriarchate, as well as at the microfilm archive of the Patriarchal Foundation for Patristic Studies (Thessaloniki).
