Project Overview
Implemented between 2011 and 2015, “The Adriatic Olive Grove” was a strategic cross-border initiative funded under the IPA Adriatic CBC 2007-2013 Program. The project focused on protecting the natural heritage of olive groves across the Adriatic and Ionian regions by integrating modern risk prevention techniques with sustainable agricultural practices.
Key Objectives
Risk Prevention: Mapping and analyzing natural and technological risks (e.g., fires, climate change, pests) affecting olive ecosystems.
– Sustainability: Promoting environmentally friendly cultivation methods to ensure long-term biodiversity.
