The Museology Research Laboratory at the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair
The Museology Research Laboratory of Ionian University participated in the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), held from 5 to 13 September 2026 at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition and Conference Centre.
As part of Ionian University’s presence at the Fair, Prof. Georgios Papaioannou, Director of the Museology Research Laboratory, and Assist. Prof. Elias Christomidis, Vice-Director of the Laboratory and Head of Learning and Development, presented the Laboratory’s research work and activities.The presentation highlighted the Laboratory’s work in the fields of museology and cultural heritage, with particular emphasis on the Corfu Prison project, while also presenting its wider range of research projects, museological activities and initiatives. The participation provided an opportunity to present the work of the Museology Research Laboratory to a wider audience and to highlight the interdisciplinary and research-oriented character of its activities within Ionian University.
The Laboratory’s participation formed part of the wider presence of Ionian University at the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair, where the University presented its research, academic and creative activities and engaged with visitors and the wider public.
